Heart of England Judo  Competition National Ranking Event 10 Sept 06

Hazama Judo Club would like to congratulate all competitors that took part in the Heart of England Judo Competition. The event was the largest of it's kind with over 1,600 competitors. Ryan McArthar, Tim O'Brien, Thomas Whitfield and Jack Whitfield travelled to Birmingham to compete. Jack Whitfield the youngest competitor in his weight and age category (- 30 Kg) took 5th place and narrowly missed bronze.  We are very proud to have a fifth placed, GB ranked judo player at the age of 9 years old in Hazama Judo Club. The club would like to congratulate head coach Mark Montgomery for making it possible for club members to take part in such a large competition.

Commonwealth Judo Championships 2006 Northern Ireland Squad Selection

Following the Gold in the NI Open last weekend, Mark Montgomery has been selected to represent NI in the +100kgs Senior event at the Commonwealth Judo Championships in June. This is Marks 5th consecutive Commonwealth Judo Championships. Good luck from all at Hazama Judo Club.

NIJF Senior/Youth/Masters - Open Championships 2006 Saturday 20th May 2006 @ Templemore Sports Centre, Derry

Our head coach Mark Montgomery and Sebastian (from Brazil) both took Gold at Derry in their respective weight categories. Well done lads from all at HAZAMA Judo Club.

Lisburn City Council Sports Person of the Month
